Submission Format And Content Requirements
The Challenge Assignment
Entrants will compete by using their Entry Voucher obtained at the UW SWAP Challenge Sale to make a purchase of any item or items at UW–SWAP having a collective value of up to but not exceeding $15. Using the item(s) purchased with the Entry Voucher, Entrants proceed to develop a Submission that creates some kind of value using substantially only the item(s) purchased. Each Entrant may make only one Submission and Submissions must use the item(s) purchased at the Challenge Sale with the Entry Voucher as the main component of the Entry (use of incidental materials such as glue, paint, fasteners and the like are acceptable).
Judging
Submissions will be evaluated equally as potential winners in each of the following categories:
- Most potential revenue value (money) generated
- Most potential social value generated
- Most creative
Most Value Generated or Most Creative will be measured and judged solely in terms of the three Challenge categories and at the sole discretion of the panel of Challenge judges. The determinations of the judges are final and binding. In making their decisions, the judges will consider how well and how succinctly the entrant has addressed the following:
- Does the entry clearly indicate what problem it seeks to solve or what need it seeks to address?
- Does the entry clearly show how it solves the problem or meets the need described above?
- Does the entry make a compelling case that the solution has value (business/market value, social value or artistic value)?
